Playing basketball with the Ceinahs was a highlight for me at St. Joes.  Beginning in Grade 9 and playing throughout high school to Grade 12, I was able to improve my skills alongside my friends and teammates, preparing for whatever future opportunities might arise. I participated in Athletic Development during high school to improve the strength and conditioning component to my game, which gave me an edge when I got to college and was expected to train frequently at an elite level.

I was very proud to be acknowledged as the Ceinah’s MVP in 2014.  Our team accomplishments, including winning Northwest Zone championships and advancing to the ASAA 3A Provincials for three consecutive years, was the result of perseverance and hard work by all. Supported by the dedication and excellent coaching of Rebecca Gonci and Nicole Tom Huete, our Ceinahs were successful in basketball, as well as in our studies.

Through the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, I played post-secondary basketball as a point guard for the GPRC Wolves.  I worked my way from being a bench player rookie to earning a spot on the starting line during my second season with the team.  I was honored with the 2016 Heart & Hustle award for the Wolves.  Our team placed 3rd in the North Division at the end of the 2015/16 regular season and qualified to play in the ACAC Provincials.
